About Us

College Day San José 2011 took place on September 30.  It is a citywide college-going effort spearheaded by the San José Unified School District and the First-Generation College Attainment Group.  Our theme for College Day San José 2011 was the Educational Journey.  The goal of College Day San José 2011 was for all people from all walks of life to share their journey with children, students, and co-workers, in order to celebrate, inspire, and promote college aspirations for all.  We asked the community to participate, and join us in supporting every child in San José to believe in and realize their college dream. And the community responded.  See our Home Page for examples of College Day San José 2011 activities throughout the city.
